Where The Light Gets In, Track, and The Landing present: Manchester Collective’s Wintering, with special support from SHE Choir.

14th December, 2024
St. Mary's Church, Stockport
Doors Open: 6:00 PM

Experience an unforgettable evening of warmth, music, and reflection in the heart of Stockport. Join us at St. Mary’s Church as the renowned Manchester Collective string quartet—Rakhi Singh (violin), Anna Tulchinskaya (violin), Ruth Gibson (viola), and Hannah Roberts (cello)—performs Philip Glass’ String Quartet No. 4. This hauntingly beautiful piece captures the spirit of winter, with music and words that invite a meditative, contemplative mood within the intimate, historic setting of St. Mary’s church.

About Manchester Collective
Founded in 2016, Manchester Collective has quickly become known for creating “intimate and intense human experiences” through a mix of contemporary and classical music. Their performances span diverse genres, spaces, and communities, from concert halls to warehouses, always challenging the boundaries of classical music and inviting audiences to open their ears and really listen. With imaginative programming, daring collaborations, and a mission to reshape the future of classical music, Manchester Collective has worked with award-winning artists like cellist Abel Selaocoe, guitarist Sean Shibe, and composer Hannah Peel. Currently artists-in-residence at the Southbank Centre and 2023 winners of the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Ensemble award, the Collective continues to push the limits of modern performance.
