The Responsive Resource Series: Wet Felting Workshop

The Landing CIC is pleased to introduce the "Responsive Resource Series: Wool Workshop Programme." This initiative is built upon the basis of artistic expression, community engagement, and skill acquisition as well as creating a space for conversations that exist around resources.

We will be exploring traditional techniques; wet felting, knitting, weaving and natural dying. These workshops are designed to impart not only practical proficiencies but also to collect contributions towards a collaborative textile artwork- a communal quilt, fashioned from squares crafted by each participant during the course of the programme.

This series seeks to foster community engagement, stimulate creative exploration, and celebrate the aesthetic and charm of wool. The final communal tapestry intends to tell a story and serve as an emblem of unity, diversity, and an expression of collective artistry.

A huge thank you to Joanne and Kat Wood for delivering the first of our workshops, This programme has been funded by the UKSPF initiative allowing us to provide workshops at a subsidised cost. If you would like to attend, tickets can be acquired via the link in our bio.
