The Landing Updates

Over at the landing, we are starting to see the fruits of our labour from the spring.

Our poly tunnel which is housing the majority of our tomatoes and cucumbers is doing great work nursing them to maturity, with an average temperature of 30c we are starting to see the first tomatoes of the season.

Peruvian oca & huacatay, Chinese crosnes and yacon international tuber varietals are all growing well below ground. Up top we have a abundance popping up on the bushes, white currants, red currants and wild strawberries as well as our second crop of broad beans of the year so far.

Our volunteer Kath planted this elephant garlic from seed, she has harvested the crop and it has now made its way over to the restaurant. It is a rewarding process to grow from seed to plant to plate, one that we take a lot of care with at the Landing. We run our volunteer programme every Friday from 10am-2pm, if you would like to take part please feel free to message us on our instagram pages where you can be added to our volunteer WhatsApp group.
