MUSHROOM ALEX

Meet Alex, who is quite literally growing mushrooms under our floorboards. 

Last year Alex sent us an email out of the blue to ask if we knew of any spaces to rent in Stockport, this led to us offering her our disused basement. Since then, she has been working incredibly hard throughout the winter to get to this stage, and last week we had the joy of serving her Tarragon Oyster mushrooms on the tasing menu. In the grow-bags she is using organic grains from one of our favourite suppliers Gilchesters Organic's Flour, and spent coffee grains from multiple coffee shops in Stockport.
